Tattoo You

We here at The Dog believe in representing all of our categories equally (they’re like children to us actually). So in honor of those lofty aspirations, we now present the red-headed stepchildren that frankly haven’t been getting enough love from us in this blog. I know that I don’t want to give any of them an inferiority complex, because each one of them truly are unique and special snowflakes.

Once upon time, Tom Petty sang a song about a singer named Eddie who moved out to California. Eventually Eddie gets a tattoo, then meets a girl with a tattoo too. Not much to the story other than a nifty reminder that Tom Petty is underappreciated, and the fact that these guys pay me by the word. Check out the sweet tees we got that feature the fine art of inking. Cat Von D would be so proud!

If tats ain’t your thing, I’m told by our young intern Riley that there’s this cool new thing on the computer where you can glance at funny videos on the privacy of your own laptop. Apparently, this YouTube thing has really caught on with the kids in America. If you want to take a serious look at some seriously funny tees – feel free to peruse at your leisure.

We are your home for everything that the greatest minds of our generation can think to put on a tee. We’re working hard on some new technology, like the new scratch ‘n’ sniff tees – because SwagDog.com is always one step ahead. Check out all the coolness that we have to offer today!

What’s In That’s New That’s Good?

Back before I got this sweet gig telling all you SwagDog puppies about the lowdown, yours truly used to work in a video store. Yes, believe it or not, there were such things before the invention of Netflix. So the story goes like this, about a thousand times a day – I would be asked the question that is currently serving as our headline for this blog entry.

Look I get it, as Americans, it’s not only our desire to know what’s the latest and greatest thing – it’s also our right as bestowed unto us from our founding fathers. Take that Bill of Rights!

So in honor of our own burgeoning gimmee-gimmee society, I’m here to tell you. It is in. It is new. And it is good. Check out the ha-ha funny tees, the wildly inappropriate originals, the licensed gear (like hats, key chains, and ties!), and the cool stuff that our little worker bees have been sweating over a hot stove for months on. To mix a few more metaphors our “New Arrivals” section of the SwagDog site is like baseball, Key Lime pie, and Chevorlets mixed into one. It is that sweet – it is that spectacular. In fact, it’s a hot mess of cool! Check it out if you don’t believe me!

The Darkness Returns

SwagDog.com is your home for everything cool in comics. Featuring officially licensed tees from Top Cow Comics, things are really heating up for one of their most popular characters – The Darkness.

According to “Wizard” magazine, big things are ahead for the infamous anti-hero. “Adding to the thrills will be March’s ‘First Born: Aftermath’ special which will feature an original Darkness tale by Hester and artist Lee Moder, and will introduce a new baddie for Jackie. Details are scarce, but rumor has it the villain known as The Sovereign will become a major threat in the coming year of The Darkness, so savvy fans may want to snag this first-appearance issue before it sells out.”

Sounds cool to us. Check for big things ahead when it comes to Top Cow Comics and SwagDog.com – we’ll be sure to bring everything to you first fans!

Pilot Season Again

You know that SwagDog.com is your home for official tees from Top Cow comics. Featuring some of the coolest designs and hippest titles in the comics biz, the store has to be seen to be believed.

Now, after their successful pilot season last year – Top Cow Comics has announced their plans for the upcoming season. Wizard magazine had all the details:

“About 2.5 million votes were cast in last year’s Pilot Season, in which readers determined which of five one-shots featuring revamped Top Cow properties would become an ongoing series. Pilot Season 2008 will kick off in May with two one-shots: Lady Pendragon by writer Matt Hawkins and artist ERU; and Twilight Guardian by writer Troy Hickman and artist Sheldon Mitchell.”

Sounds pretty cool to us. In the meantime, be sure to check out the massive selection of official Top Cow tees on SwagDog.com to show your love for your favorite titles.

SwagDog Joke of the Month

You already know that SwagDog.com is all about the original humor. We bring the best to you in our cool line of funny tees! We also bring you a great dog joke every month. Here’s the latest:

As an elderly lady sat on her front porch reflecting on her long life, a Fairy Godmother suddenly appeared and offered to fulfill three wishes for her.

"Well," said the woman, "I guess I'd like to be rich."
POOF: The Fairy Godmother turned her rocking chair into solid gold.

"And I wouldn't mind being a young and beautiful princess."
POOF: The Fairy Godmother turned the old woman into an exquisite young princess, with a priceless crown of jewels.

"Your third wish?" asked the Fairy Godmother. "Could you possibly turn my wonderful dog into a handsome prince?"
POOF: There, in front stood the most handsome young man anyone had ever seen. She stared at him in awe, completely smitten.

As he came toward her, her knees weakened. He bent down, brushing his lips across her ear as he whispered, "I bet you are sorry you had me neutered."

Be sure to come back early and often for more jokes and humorous tees!
